Paddling through your past.

Life is so easy… Said no one ever!
In todays blog I’d like to give you some advice and also tell a testimony of mine along with a prophetic word from God.

A few months ago I published a blog named Steady your boat which was completely from God. If you haven’t read it thats fine, I’ll leave the link at the end. If you’ve been following my blog and instagram account you will know I’m struggling with anxiety and depression.

The overview of the blog was that God had spoke to me and told me that I needed to steady my boat. It was a warning to prepare myself and my church for the journey and changes we where about to face. At this point I did not know that the church pastors where making decisions to move to a bigger venue. The words God spoke to me where about steadying our boats as the journey ahead is going to be on a stormy sea and we have to get past the rocky shores to get to beautiful sands. This was totally prophetic and a little confusing when I first heard it as I had no idea we were moving venue until I messaged my pastor with what had just happened to me, we then got together and I was told about the changes.

This blog will be a recap of Gods words he spoke to me and it will discuss our past and sailing through to the sands as God doesn’t  want us to stay in the stormy sea he wants us to be happy surrounded with his beauty.

The theme of today is renewal. What I’ve recently learnt is that if we truly want change, our hearts are ready for the renewal that only God’s spirit can bring to us.

Acts 3:19 Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.

God promises to give you a fresh start. Which is great as a lot of us would really appreciate a fresh start. He will cleanse you.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.

Recently I’ve prayed for renewal. I prayed for energy to focus more on the Lord.
I have noticed that the way God renews and revives us, is by inspiration, encouragement, and comforting us through his word. The more I read his word, the more I am comforted and excited to share the word with others.

I have prayed for strength daily for the past few months as I am physically, mentally and emotionally drained. After being quite angry at God for not saving me from the horrors I have had to endure I am now feeling grateful but confused about my ordeal. I know I am not out of the woods yet but I also know that I am not alone on this journey and The Lord will renew my strength. And that he will guide me along right paths, which will bring honour to his name. - Psalm 23:3

And even though I am struggling right now, God is showing a picture to me. A picture of myself paddling in the sea, I am in a boat and I am full of strength and I am strong. (Which is not how I feel right now) But I am in this boat paddling through all the waves and litter close to the shore. I have to paddle through the weeds which means having a lot of strength as the weeds are tough. But in this picture, I make it to the shore. I actually make it the shore and I’m singing on the sand. At the top of my lungs. I love it when God shares these pictures or words with me. Prophetic visions are special and I feel very grateful and humbled by this amazing encounter with the spirit.

I urge you to pray to the Lord with your problems, he is the with you every step of your journey. Have faith in him and he will reveal things to you which you never even thought of before. The Lord is amazing!
And Remember…
Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the confidence that we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

Thank you reading this little sequel to Steady Your Boat. - Paddling Through Your Past.
Be blessed. Stay Well.
God Bless

A Message to Kenya

Hello my lovelies!
Recently I've had a lot of views from Kenya and now a lot of messages from Kenya! I am replying to all your supportive messages right now and also your advice seeking messages. Remember to stay strong in your faith and don't let your situations determine your faith. Your faith is a rock and your situations are the weather. Sometimes the weather may rain on your rock but your rock still remains. Love you all speak soon. Be Blessed.

Scandinavian Christmas

Hey Guys, as many of you already know I've recently taken a trip to Sweden, Stockholm for Christmas with my other half Kieran. We had such an amazing time. And it was so lovely just spending time with him and planning our future together in our cosy little cottage (cabin).

We plan to spend every Christmas together from now on which is amazing.
Next year we plan to visit Sweden again or maybe even Austria... which would be amazing.

When we were in Sweden we did a bit of sightseeing for example we went into Stockholm and Skansen, the outdoor museum which had reindeers and quirky little cabin shops where we bough a beautiful red throw blanket for the future for our own home. We also walked around the lake at the farm we stayed on.
Ive shared some photos from the trip on this blog so I hope you enjoy them.
Roll on next year for the Swedish Christmas Markets! It was just truly beautiful and so scenic.
Have a blessed new year! Love Jessica Louise Xoxo

Imagine - Revelation 21:1-4

Hello my lovelies! I hope you all have had a fab week! Last week I published a blog on Rest [Find Rest] check it out on the bibleforwomen.co.uk blog directory.

Today I have decided to share my thoughts on Heaven. As Natalie Grant sings In the End she sings about what heaven is and isn't about. And today I want to speak about what heaven is and isn't about.
There's comin' a day the sun will always shineHe's gonna wipe away every tear from your eyes.Hold on, my brotherThings are gonna get betterYou're gonna smile again'Cause we win in the end
It won't be aboutStreets of Gold, Pearly GatesHarps or wings, Diamond LakesAll I know is that He's gonna hold you, hold me

Let's start with a scripture - Revelation 21:1-4

I love the last part of this scripture... He will wipe every tear from their eyes, lets just meditate on that! Every Tear, Every Eye! That's a lot of tears, and I'm just talking about myself, a sad movie, a powerful song on an advert on TV, and I'm weeping for hours.
Heaven isn't about the pearly gates, diamond lakes, harps playing and all white, God created colour! He is the creator and artist of everything, so why would he create Heaven and only use white!? Makes no sense to me.
I like to think of Heaven as a rainbow, every colour used and amazingly beautiful!

We have all been given the chance to have eternal life, if we give our selves to Christ he has promised this life to be just a segment of whats to come. No disease, poverty, wars and no slavery. Just peace and freedom.
His loves reigns forever over us, and he will show us all his eternal love in the end in the beginning!

So today I urge you all to just think about how amazing heaven is, that feeling you might of experienced before from the Holy Spirit well, when imagining Heaven I see that experience, that glorious experience of warmth and feeling safe and free.

Thank you for reading and enjoy this weeks blogs and stay tuned on the instagram page for news soon.

New Year, New Job, New Journey

New Year, New Job, New Journey.

Last year I ventured on what I thought was going to be amazing! and It was.... in the beginning. It was fun and I really enjoyed being a part of my host family. Unfortunately this didn't last, I was treat unfairly and with a mutual agreement we decided we would be better if I left and went home. So after a horrible few weeks with them I left while I was home alone, I didn't even say goodbye. This was the best thing to do because I didn't want to end on an argument. I left and still haven't heard from them. Not even a thank you for the Christmas gifts I left for them.
My family drove 5 hours to pick me and my boxes of luggage up to take me home.
I had no idea what I was going to do... No job... no income... no life.
After my 30 seconds of stressful thinking and doubting and panicking I asked God where he wanted me, where he wanted me to live, work, and rest. Within 1 day of being home I had an interview at a dream job, which I never thought I'd even be shortlisted for. After the Christmas weekend I was offered the job! To work with babies and toddlers at a day nursery! My dream job! (Don't get me wrong it's a challenge every day, but I think that's why God opened this door for me, I needed a challenge but be home and near family and my home church for support.

Because while being away I had no family and only new friends who didn't know my story or my life. I am super blessed to be home and have supportive and positive people who surround me daily. I can't wait to get stuck back into Kids Church at Paradox Church and connect groups and study groups and food bank connect. I am so happy to be home. Thank you Lord. You brought me home where I belong.
Thank you!

When God closes a door he doesn't just close it, he slams it so hard you never go back again and he opens brand new doors for you. It might not be as quick as it was for me but he will definitely take and save you from the darkness and bring you into the light. He is the light. Call to God and he will answer you. Give him a call today! His phone number is P-R-A-Y-E-R. It's the quickest way to reach him. It's the hotline to God. Pray to him for change in your life, if you are in a dark place or stuck in a place you know you shouldn't be in or cant get out of. Call him for help.

1 Thessalonians 5:5-8 You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled.

Psalms 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Have a great week and do not be afraid, God is always with you and his light shines in you every day.

Miracles Do Happen - Monthly Blogger

Now I welcome back Brittany Nicole - Monthly Guest blogger on The Bible For Women - blog - site. Enjoy her amazing blog...

So I'm not an expert on miracles. Let me start with that. I've struggled with severe leg pain that has progressed over the years. The doctors can't even diagnose me because they’re clueless to what's causing it. It has made it difficult to sit longer than 30 minutes, and on some days even difficult to walk or stand. I've prayed, cried, and prayed some more, asking for a miracle. I KNOW God can heal me, but it's apparently not in his plan at this moment in time.

So I can say, miracles don't happen when we want or expect them to. But they DO happen.

Almost 5 years ago I went through a depression. I didn't know it at the time, but looking back, it was definitely a stage of depression. I then became suicidal. I didn't express my sadness, anger or feelings to anyone. I dealt with it myself. And the fact I'm alive after that, is a miracle in itself.

But the miracle that happened to me might not be seen to some as a miracle but I know it was.... The day after I planned on committing suicide (and obviously didn't go through with it) I was at school, walking down the hall to class. I prayed for this person who was causing a lot of my anxiety and etc., to not be there. I prayed for this student to just not be at school so I could have one day of peace. That's all I wanted.

I get to class, literally 15 seconds after saying this prayer, and the student isn't there.... That student didn't come back to school for the rest of the year.

God knew my prayer before I even said it.

That was a miracle, because I needed to see a change in my life. I needed proof God heard me and was real. I needed to see that for myself and God showed me.

I've seen other miracles happen. I saw my aunt who couldn't breath without an oxygen tube, BREATHE for over an hour without it! She didn't realize her tank was turned off, and she was breathing like normal without it. NORMALLY, not having her tank turned on would have killed her, but God provided a miracle that day (actually on multiple occasions that happened!)

So you see, miracles do happen. They might not be "news worthy" in societies eyes, but let me tell you, anything that God is involved in IS "News Worthy"! Just being alive is a miracle in itself. Think about that. Your beating heart is a miracle. God shows he's here with us by providing even the smallest miracles.

Sure, maybe your prayer for a good grade wasn't answered. Maybe your car broke down. Maybe your medical test came back with bad results. Maybe someone dear to your heart passed away.

Don't turn away from God and say miracles don't happen, because that miracle that you wanted to happen, wasn't a part of Gods amazing plan, or it would have happened.

God has planned miracles, and we sometimes can't predict them. But that's how it works, and that's just where our faith and trust in God comes in.

Miracles happen every day, and sometimes we just have to open our eyes to really see them.

Eat Beauty 2

{Personal Beauty}
Do you believe you are beautiful?

Let’s get straight to the point! Everyone reading this right now, most of you will say no. But the truth is you are beautiful through the eyes of the Lord.
He created all things bright and beautiful. You are bright and beautiful! Fact!

Genesis 1:27- So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.

Psalm 45:11- So will the King desire your beauty; because He is your Lord, be submissive and reverence and honor Him.

Ecclesiastes 3:11- He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

Proverbs 31:30- Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting], but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised!

Do NOT be Vain!
Galatians 5:26- Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

This is super hard today, it’s difficult in today’s society to not think of what others are going to think of you, yes I love to get all dressed up and look all girly and pretty but that’s just me. But at the end of the day are others going to judge you at the end on your appearance? No!

When you leave this life people aren’t going to remember you perfect eye liner, your super skinny leather pants, you bright pink lips. There’s going to remember you by you and your personality, the things you did in your life, not the way you looked.

People will say ‘She was an amazing lady who loved God’.
People will NOT say ‘She was skinny, and tall and looked great in hot pants’
You are more bothered about your vanity than other people.
God is the only being to judge you, stop thinking about what others are going to think of you.

You are either being judged or you are doing the judging! Think about that next time you’re walking down the street and you think to yourself an insult about a girl walking past you with a bright green hat. Don’t judge them on their fashion choices. Because fashion does not make you beautiful.

You are beautiful in your own skin.

Your flesh and bones make you beautiful. Your wonderful structure is a masterpiece created by the Lord. Don’t change yourself. Love yourself the way you are.

Love yourself as God loved you so much he made the blueprints for you.

Please girls! Be nice to each other, don’t judge each other because at the end of the day were all in this together and don’t have to like each other but we do have to LOVE each other.

Love each other and pay each other compliments.
You are beautiful girls! Sooo beautiful inside and out. Don’t forget your true beauty in your day to day life. Your true beauty is having the Holy Spirit inside you.

I hope you enjoyed this blog!
